Craft supplies
Even if last summer holidays were mainly dedicated to my children, I could go many times to South of France, where one of my favorite pastimes is visiting all those cute local street markets offering fragrances and home accessories.
Menton can not compete with Grasse’s perfums tradition, neither with Monaco or Antibes jet set life, yet every time I am in this lovely town, with its tiny shops, I feel at home.
And just like at home, I buy a lot.
This time I thought in advance: didn’t want to repeat tha same old story of myself coming back home and regretting not having bought this and that! I had a very keen idea of what I needed.
Here’s the shopping list I brought with me.
- Dried lavender. I use it in small bags matching the yarn I sell in Etsy Shop;

- Vegetable soaps, to make some felted ones using organic wool;
- Some themed soaps: with honey, clay, olive oil …

- Lavender essential oil, to prepare my yarn conditioner. [If you want, you can find my secret recipe here].
Of course I found everything, at a high quality and very low prices.
Most of all, it’s always a pleasure for me to point out how polite and friendly people are in this small French town! Even in my favorite candy shop, where I must confess that I hadn’t planned to buy anything…. But …
New look!
Holidays are finally over and I’m back to Milan.
My home is a mess, but I’m so glad to be here again, just like a queen returning to her castle after a long exile.
It’s not that I didn’t like being on holiday and let alone staying in such a lovely place – but here I have my corners, my studio, my habitat.
[I like dogs, but I'm actually thinking like a cat, ain't I?]
And what about all my tech goodies? My wi-fi connection, , my beloved printers, my new scanner (ehm…it’s my husband’s new scanner, but never mind!)…
Coming back home gave me a new energy.
The first thing I did was to look at my blog and decide that I had to make a restyling.
Well, you’re actually inside my restyled blog and maybe you can’t imagine how many nights I passed on my pc compiling this new theme.
I wanted something very representative of me and my handspinning style, so I drew the header myself the old way: by hand!
Of course, this geek break implied a pause from handspinning, but I’m quiet sure that my Traveller will forgive me. After all, this is HER blog!
She is so happy to be at home! You should see her smiling and spinning smoother while watching tv.
No doubt that she’s a urban spinning wheel.
